Well, you could consider joining the Awesome Hat Collection Society. OK, so I made that one up, but that collection of yours is really great. I wish you well in your search, and I am sure one of the more experienced forum members will be all over this thread in no time.

I get the impression that those 'thin ribbon society' and 'borsalino brotherhood' threads were just fun ways for folks to post pictures of their own open-road or borsalino finds, and to share information. I note that as those threads get older, only rarely does someone resurrect them as a means of posting their pics, but those threads contain a wealth of information. Your collection is enviable (I am definitely impressed!) and would surely qualify you for a senior management position amongst those ranks! Thanks for sharing the pics-

Maybe I can help you, Wayfarer. Here are the various niche groups I'm aware of here at the Lounge

1. The Open Road Guild. Begun by John in Covina.

2. The Stratoliner Society. RBH might have started it.. Or Marc Chevalier.

3. The Brotherhood of The Thin Ribbon. RBH again.

4. The Borsalino Brotherhood. I think Moustache got that one going.

5. The Campaign Hat Corps. I started that one.

There may be others. Most of the time you post a picture in the group's home thread, and then you're entitled to claim membership.

Thanks, J.T., I'm keeping this one. I want to be consistent now, being a bartender requires acting more grown-up. I wanted to look more friendly than the last one, and afterall, though I don't own that hat anymore, it's an Open Road. 'Nuff said!
