I was thinking that would be next. Cynar and soda could be used for chemical warfare purposes---not drinking willingly. :eusa_doh:
Oh and sense of adventure is right! Having your head close to the porcelain god might not exactly be my kind of adventure though.

Probably would be difficult to transport, a volatile mix indeed. It'd be like a scene from the Wage of Fears.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I think Jagermeister (SP?) is a particularly noisome and foul concoction. The odd can it came in (and the taste) reminds me of something one might purchase at a hardware store.

Hi, I was talking to one of my old neighbors who is a college kid now. He mentioned drinking Jameson's and Coke. I've had gallons of Jack and Coke, Jim and Coke, or bar brand bourbon and Coke, as well as Rum and Coke. I've heard of the Venezuelan's drinking Scotch and Coke and that whole idea gives me the creeps in a big way. Anyone had Jameson's and Coke? Seems like a waste of good whiskey to me.

It is indeed a waste of good whiskey. Let's remember that many cocktails we have today come from an era where rot gut whiskey and other such concoctions were used. The fruit juice and other additives made it palatable. Good stuff is fine on its own.
Be vintage---use cheap stuff for mixing like that.;):p

Chambord- tis the season for extensively sweet cordials.*yucky* How can any flavor be derived beyond all that sugar. More suited for putting over pancakes.

I'll join in with this one. Blah, I'd rather drink grain alcohol and molasses. Horrible stuff.

This coming from someone who likes Cynar and Campari?!
Try my recipe for a raspberry martini and you'll be convinced.:p

What, you're going to make me go search for it???:p

Now that the holidays are over I'm left with half a refrigerator full of Mojito/icedtea/lemonade/pick-a-flavor malt beverages that people bring and leave. As I poured them down the drain curiosity got the best of me and I tasted a few- nothing the slightest bit appealing to me. I think I heard my septic tank heave.;)

When I was doing the Christmas shopping back in December I was asked to pick up a bottle of Baileys by my wife.

The store was completely sold out of Baileys, but they had something called "Irish Knights" that looked like an acceptable knock-off. The bottle was the same shape and the label was similar. Knowing that my wife doesn't mind cheap copies when the real thing isn't available I got it.

She really enjoyed it, but I hated it. Upon closer inspection of the label I noticed it was a "Blend of carefully selected vodkas, wines and fresh dairy cream". Just thinking about it makes me retch.

A few of them might have worked to dilute barbecue sauce for use in marinating meat ...

Hiya Rumble. Did you ACTUALLY try Chambord over pancakes? I don't know what Chambord is supposed to taste like, but somehow the idea of a fruity syrupy liquid (like Smucker's Strawberry Pancake Syrup) that has a proof sounds interesting...

Ha, thanks to Wikipedia, Raspberry. Is it actually syrupy?
