Roscoe P. Coltrane - the P stands for Pefe (which is what I call him)

Xanthe Sparklepants - (Housemartin's song mention combined with part of my porn name).

Bela Lugosi - evil charming kitten- suits her perfectly.

We had a cat that we named "5 - 10" (that's "five-ten"). It's a rock climbing term. that cat was a real climber.

We also had a dog we named "AD". It was a small fist type dog, so we said "AD" stood for "Attack Dog" (but it was more like "Aggravating Devil").

Then there was the time I found an abandoned kitten on the front steps of the hospital where I work. I took it home and we named it "Skitz". The kitten was a real nervous cat that was startled at everything. "Skitz" is short for schizophrenic. I work at a state mental hospital - so it kind of fit. [huh]

My best friend at school had a cat called Rabbit.

Then later on she got an albino hamster, and called it Albi. When Albi died she got a new albino hamster and called it Albi Back lol

This is Chloe. I believe his female name has given him gender identity issues. As proof, somewhere, I have a picture of him wearing a tutu.

His girlfriend, Mendel (named after a man to help Chloe feel better), is named after Gregor Mendel. You know, the blind monk who did the experiments with the peas to discover dominant and recessive gene traits? Mendel has extra toes, which is a dominant trait in cats.

I have 2 mini lop rabbits, the male is Jack and the female is Chloe, after Jack Bauer and Chloe from 24.

My black (solid black with yellow eyes) bob tailed cat (naturally bob tailed) is Nuisance.

My Yorkie, was given to us by my Sister, she named him Sully (I helped). My Sis was a big fan of Dr Quinn, and had named my Niece - Michaela, so when she was trying to figure out a name for Sully, I suggested Michaela's Little Sully, and that is his registered name.

We had a black lab mix (looked like a black lab, but with long hair........a hippie lab)..whom we called Shadow, as he would follow my Dad or I around like a shadow. When my grandmother, who lived across the drive from us, fell and broke her hip or when she had her stroke, I would take off running across the yard...guess where this big (95 lb) black dog would be? Right in the darkest shadows, where I would trip over him every time. Will have to look for a picture of he & I,he was also a ham, if someone was getting a picture taken, he HAD to be included lol.

Well, my cat's called Custard.

Bit of a long/odd story. She kind of adopted us, just appearing in the garden and slowly getting used to us over a year and now after 3 years or so, she has finally adopted us and lives in/around the house lol

Now...the name.

Basically she used to sit on the window sill, and brush up and down it...acting like a tart lol ...she has browny/ginger splodges on her so my mum thought "ahh custard tart, we'll call her Custard". And it basically stuck. I wanted to call her Petrochelli...but ah well :D

That would be the logical one lol

I did suggest dying her pink...but the idea was shot down lol

That TV show must've qualified for one of the "trippiest" cartoons ever haha!

I called my mothers dog Basil, after Basil Hallward from Picture of Dorian Grey, it's pretty funny that my great uncle can't pronounce it right and always calls him Daisy (??not as this would even sound familiar) lol

How cute!! We have a tuxedo cat here that we've named Tuxford.

I grew up with cats, and as kids my sibs and I would give each not only a name, but a nickname. . . . Several, actually. For instance, my sister had a cat that she'd named Sparkle. When a cousin had a baby girl and stole the name (as well as the same sister's middle name, Marie), Sparkle was renamed Myrna. Myrna had several nicknames, "Zoint" and "Fuzzwhat" being the most commonly heard.

My John Doe and Jane Doe each had several nicknames, too. John had; Bubbie, Buddy, Big boy and a few others. Jane had; Sweetie, Sweetiepie, Sweetiekins and the ever-popular and most accurately descriptive, Bitchypoo.
