People pay premium for a batch of leather like that, let alone to have something made in it. I remember this stuff. Most beautiful brown I've seen. Deep, vivid chestnut brown that shifts from red to almost purple of a sort.

This leather was a very small upcharge from standard comp weight when ordered direct from Vanson. I bought a VAJ-3 in it for essentially the same price as they would've charged me for comp weight (vaj-3 is medium weight as standard) in 2010.
