Uh oh...these guys?

Maybe some of their songs inspired the masseuse.

Several years ago Victor Willis (the cop) was featured on America's Most Wanted when he was arrested on a weapons charge and then skipped bail.

I just read this entire thread, and all ive got to say is wow!

I bought the home I grew up in. The lady to my left has lived there as long as I can remember and the newly wed couple that just moved in to the right of me are school teachers and spend every spare moment they have working on their property and have improved it greatly from the previous owners. I only have one trouble maker in the neighborhood, and she lives two STREETS over from me. she complains that my house looks like a junkyard with the old cars. I only have 3 vehicles out in front of my house (suburban, pickup and my sister's '61 vw beetle), all older models, but very respectable looking with good paint and always clean and driven every day of the week. She called the city and told them that I had abandoned vehicles in my yard. The inspector came out and wasn't sure why she called because he couldn't find a single code that I had broken. This old woman did the same thing to the guy down the street when he had both his 41 Cadillacs out in his driveway cleaning them for a car show. He told her that if she wasn't careful shed likely find a dead skunk in her mailbox.

Sounds like your neighbor has an issue with classic cars!

Not only bland but really ridiculous as they try to regulate every area of your life. If they can tell you what you can do or plant on your property, it is like living under a tyranny. I would expect to go to a meeting and find a Castro looking type behind the desk of the "presidency." :eusa_doh:

Nope, that's America, that's middle of the stream U.S.A. Suburbia pure and simple; that's the way they like it, and that's the way its going to be for them. Conformity with a capital C. Most of their major, and minor, life decisions are made from a perspective of not wanting to stand out, or stand up.

I rented a house next door to a nice young couple. They were just married and inseperable. I know they were inseperable becuase I coudl hear everything they did in the bedroom at night...
This brings to mind a neighbor I once had in NYC. A middle aged woman moved into the adjoining row house on our quiet street on the UES. . Very conservatively dressed with a librarian look (hair worn up, glasses, sensible shoes, etc..) but not an unattractive woman. We invited her to a cocktail party we were hosting which she attended alone. We found her to be a perfectly delightful person; intelligent, refined and affable with a soft spoken nature . Turns out she was a senior exec at Chase bank, single, never married.

Around a month later we were awakened in the middle of the night by a woman screaming bloody murder. It was our new neighbor and we became convinced that she is being attacked, so we called the police. Our call was not the first and a cop later said that they had received over thirty calls from other neighbors. I looked out the window to see the lights on in nearly every house and apartment with neighbors looking out their windows. In a few minutes four squad cars raced up with lights flashing and sirens blaring. A half dozen cops jumped out and started banging on her front door.

The screaming stopped abruptly and soon after she appeared at the door in a robe with her hair disheveled. She assured them that all was fine but they insisted on entering the house to make sure. A few minutes later the cops came out smirking and smiling. Once the cops left and the dust settled a dog walking neighbor saw a handsome well dressed 20-something stud leaving her house. The next day an anonymous neighbor left a gift hanging from her doorknocker for all to see. We never heard a peep out of her again......

Oh, you must live in the East Bay Area; San Leandro/Castro Valley/Hayward triangle of inbreds.

Carl, a family member has a neighbor like that, just a few doors down.
Calling in on other neighbors for what he felt was violations.
Cry wolf too many times and the gov't doesn't take you seriously...
It's funny, the power company received several calls when this guy cut a tree limb off his tree, and knocked out the power in the neighborhood! :D

I have really fantastic neighbors where I live down state, and at my place up north, there are no close by neighbors so I don't have to worry very much.

However, in the past if I had a problem with neighbors, I simply made them think I was the most violent, horrible person on the face of the earth, and they just left me alone.
