Yup.
Printed right on the sweat, in "child of the manger" gold letters, "Pure Fur Felt". Sometimes these sellers are so clueless.:D

Yep, its like mine.

I was wondering if there is still room in the Campaign Corps. I finally purchased the montana peak that I've fancied for a long time. It's a cheap wool version but it's just for camping and such. I also have my eye out for some hats that are proper for conversions to fore and aft styles. I hereby submit my application. Picture 18.jpg Picture 20.jpg Picture 21.jpg

Wool campaign/scout hats make good outdoor lids. The only problem for me about your new hat jswindle2 is that it is errr.....too new.:D Those perfect factory press creases are fine for Marine drill instructors but I would prefer to steam out those sharp peaks & then hand crease 'em to give the hat some character & bush cred.

I'm prety livid as I missed a vintage fur felt campaign hat a few weeks ago, everything came together; size, quality, brim width & crown height, even the price & I was planning to bid on the last day but life had decided to keep me away from a computer at the time..........some would take that as a sign :D

Here is a pic of my EM campaign hats/cords. When I started, I thought they were all the same. Was I wrong! They each have little differences to make them unique from stitching, grommets and color. Most are maker marked or just Amercian hatters stamps. They all have the five rows of stichting and original chin straps The cavalry is a Stetson. I only have one officer hat/cords . Ron

Thank you. I have pics of the interiors, but I thought it would take up too much space to show all 9 plus nobody probably wanted to see the interiors. Ron
