Ahhhh, good times. It's good to know that nothing has changed since I graduated from the "Island" 31 years ago. Interestingly, I'm Facebook buddies with my old Drill Instructor. Sergeant Major Kinsley still wears the DI Cover at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, TX where he is Commandant of Cadets. My old roomate, Mike Barrett, was a Drill Instructor and is now the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps. Ooooh Rah! So if anyone has questions about the "Smokey" cover, I'm sure I can get an accurate answer for us.

I just saw a pile of them in the Salt Lake City Visitor's Center - all modern DI-type; and what appeared to be a genuine vintage fur felt on a mannequin dressed up as a NPS Ranger.

Sure, I really dont have many originals in my collection.
I dont mind if its an 1889 model.

I actually just found Eureka Arsenal's repro of that same model for $85.
Does anyone have pictures of 1889 hat?

Hi

I just updated my pictures of my Jaxonbilt Campaign Hat in the Jaxonbilt thread. Since "nobody" used my internet provider's data storage service, they deleted it. I added a stampede string, braided leather double loop job that aren't in the picture. It works great.
