If the pants are constructed the way I think they are, from looking at the pic, it should be no trouble to take them up an inch or so and maintain the fishtail back...just make sure you find a tailor who understands that that is what you want, and doesn't sew the back seam all the way up...some tailors nowadays don't understand the fishtail back (or braces back, as it's sometimes called) and they see it as a "problem" to be "corrected". I can't wait to see some pics of it out on the town.
