I'm at work on a novel, and I have a scene set in 1908 in Monmouth, IL, in which a failed cigar maker is doing an inventory of his remaining stock. What would be some likely names of his cigars (the actual type of cigar, i.e., corona)?

Thanks in advance!
J.D.

Don't forget the really dark cigars, maduro's. Lonsdales and torpedos are a couple more. Corona, corona gorda, double corona, habanos, conneticuts,(named after their mild wrapper), Belicoso, Figurado, Lancero, Pantella, Presidente, and perfecto's.

My suggestion would be to order a catalog....perhaps Thompson Cigar Co. They would send you one for free. Cigar Afficianado also has some great behind the scenes and offers some very informative interviews with top cigar producers.
