Not a Vanson Model B after all!

Well I thought this was a Vanson Model B, but when I contacted Vanson with the serial number to find out the date on it, I got a response that it isn't a Model B at all! Interesting!

From Nick at Vanson:

"Hi Warner,

That is actually not a Model B, but it's brother the Model D. Some slight differences with the jackets, I think the D has more/different pockets.

That jacket completed production in October of 1994! Looks like it was sold to a dealer called Showtime, who I'm sure no longer exists.

Near as I can tell, the only difference between this model d and the model b is the quilted lining. ‍

I see it has more slanted collar band, funnel shaped collar band, usually model B has standing straight up collar band, I think this one looks closer to a racing jacket
