Yes they are. Been studying them for awhile and waiting for Mike to find me a Winchester or FEPSA beaver hat body in a particular golden acorn brown shade I'm looking for...

My latest from Mike. This is made from Fepsa rabbit felt. I've only experience of Akubra rabbit felt, both Heritage and Imperial grade. This is completely beyond compare. far thinner, denser and with a much nicer hand. To be honest I'm hard pressed to tell it apart from Winchester 100% beaver. It has a lovely smooth buttery hand.

I wanted something in the style of Alan Ladd's fedora in 'China'









The camera has bleached the colour, in life it is a really rich light brown. Similar to the Winchester whisky felt.

"You are correct I do. I'm just waiting until I open the new full retail store in a month or so. Then I will update the address, revamp the website and add some of my own premade hats to buy. Let me know when you're ready for another one. "

I posted this in the panama thread but thought I'd repost it here as Mike did all the work on it. Mike redid everything, reblock, resize, ribbon, sweatband. Fit's perfect. 3 1/4 brim, 5 3/4ths brim. 700 WPI. Monticristi, Plantation style.

BTW, Mike continues to hunt for a store to operate out of. He's waiting to hear back from an offer he made on a place. I hope it works out, it would be a great place in the heart of the city. If it doesn't he'll continue to look for another location.

Northwest Hats Update!

Mike has secured a place to set up a store front shop. Lease should be signed shortly, so not an absolute done deal yet but from what I gathered from Mike it's a pretty sure thing.

The location is one of the best I could think of to set up a hat shop. It's right in the middle of downtown Eugene with a lot of Pedestrian traffic and on one of the main streets going through town, so lots of drive by traffic to see the shop. There are antique shops near by and other businesses that will all compliment each other. The owner of the place had already rejected several other businesses that wanted to rent the space, but saw that a Hattery downtown would be a great fit.

Pics will be coming once he's in and set up.
