I've had a couple of straws made by Mike (The Northwest Hat Co). The first arrived today. It was a pleasure working with Mike. He finished the second hat today. I will post pictures when it arrives.

Here is the second Panama I had made by Mike. This hat is intended to be a nod to my Marine Corps brothers and sisters. It is based on the USMC dress blue uniform with white trousers.

No. His hat making keeps him busy. He’s a bit more expensive than Gannon. Their prices are on their respective websites.

Michael Gannon charges $300 for a beaver hat with a raw edge, but charges $25 if you want a bound brim.

Mike at NW Hats charges $325 for a beaver hat whether you get the raw edge, or the bound brim.
