Excellent! Mike did a great job on my hat. Crisp and simple. Just the way I like it! I used Alan Ladd's "China" hat for inspiration and Mike nailed it! Classic '40s look. The open crown height for this one is 5 3/4 on a straight sided block. It's 4 5/8 at the pinch with the rake sloping to 4 1/4 at the back. It has a 2 3/4 raw edge snap brim. The color is Pecan with a contrasting 1 1/2 ribbon and 5 1/2 double tail bow. I finally decided on the C crown.

Along with borrowing from Ladd's "China" hat I also sent him a couple pictures of the OR I reworked to show him what I was looking for, and he nailed it! Same dimensions, and all! Excuse me while I be a bit prejudice, but the hat he did for me is his best work!

I can't get over how nice it looks. Mike did an amazing job. Wish I had that skill.

Carl Perkins is from around here , grew up just north of me , then lived about 35 minutes south/southeast in Jackson . Go by his house all the time . My daughter loves "Going to Jackson" By Johnny and June Carter Cash about going to Jackson to visit Carl . She and her husband , when they lived in Nashville , would go with a crazy Friend of her's and her Friend's Husband (and Big time Dr at Vandy) and sing it on karaoke nights , ... yeah they're crazy . Great Songs ! Great Hat ! That's the Pecan Beaver , right ?
