This is awesome IMHO.
Found this on the blog of a Japanese clothing shop called BRYWB in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Apparently they pronounce it BRY-OOB. I need to go there sometime.

Their other stuff looks cool too.

I've also been checking out this shop's stuff recently. A unique and deep selection. There are many interesting and innovative shops over here so it's hard to stand out. But, if there is one (?), these guys may be the cutting edge.

Risking showing myself as an ignoramus, I ask - isn't a safari jacket simply a cotton Norfolk jacket?

depends if it's got the proper straps and belt, I'd have thought.

Yep and the Norfolk is made up like a sportcoat whereas the safari has a shirt-like construction, sans canvas, lining, shoulder padding and such.

These are probably not norfolk, however they are belted back and in my opinion great quality..

some Americans call practically any jacket with a belted back and patch pockets a 'Norfolk style' but for me a jacket really needs the vertical straps either on front , back or both to qualify as a Norfolk, and preferably an all-around belt too.
