What is the browser of choice for FL members?

I just recently tried Firefox again and I am hooked! :) I added a plugin called "Fasterfox" that really does work. Also I noticed that my graphics quality for web pictures has improved even with the faster website download.

I love all the options and the fact that it's more secure than that crummy old Micro$oft thing I was using. :eusa_doh:

Doesn't seem to be an option. [huh] But anyone that chooses the "other" option, can specify their preference and give their reasons for their choice. Basically, I'm wondering if people are looking for options to their default browser.

First time with Firefox for me, but I, too, am hooked and like the better security.

Firefox/Modzilla to me (dont care what folks say) is to slow. Netscape, lets not even go there, MS forget it. Safari aint perfect, but its intergrated, and Im all's about that! :D

So far,...

Firefox seems to be the browser of choice for PC users that are sick of Micro$oft's constant security threats, and rightly so. Works good in Windows PCs. Macs just don't seem to need an alternative.

I'm using Firefox with a pile of plugins:

Fasterfox
McAfee Site Advisor (good for IDing spammy/pop-up sites before you click the Google link)
VideoDownloader (handy for YouTube)
Adblock (three guesses what that does)
DownThemAll (downloader)
PDF Dowload (well, yeah)
BugMeNot (a neat way of getting around compulsory website registration that just turns into spam)

All together, a nice comfy browsing experience. The whole plugin thing is something I really like about Firefox, since it lets me tweak the program in such a way that it works the way I want it to rather than in accord with a programmer's idea of what I want.

I'm on the verge of getting a new computer right now, but I think I'll be sticking with Firefox on whichever OS my new system uses.

At home I usually access the Fedora Lounge via Firefox on my laptop running Linux. There are a host of other browsers available that run on Linux, but I am partial to Firefox.

My wife uses it as well on her laptop, running Windows XP. Firefox is the browser of choice in our household.

It doesn't always work 100% with pages coded specifically for Internet Exploiter, but I get by. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Plus, I like the little fox logo for Firefox. :p
