Some parts were done well but where was the main protagonist, God? He's obliquely referred to but without His instructions to Noah the storyline is a mess. Sci-fi meets the Old Testament - almost as incongruous as Cowboys and Aliens.

The Bible movie I wouldn't mind seeing is the story of Jael and Sisera.

I heard that one was going into production, but someone spiked it.

Believe it or not, there's a lot of support for this version of Noah from other Jewish sources--midrash, commentaries, aggadah. Fun for those of us in the know.
