This one has found its way solidly into the warm weather rotation. A Resistol Florentine, it's in excellent condition, copper-gold with a 2 1/8" brim, 4 1/4" crown and a 2" black ribbon with copper-colored band.
I don't have any other Resistol straws to compare it to, and haven't seen enough old ads to peg its age. I don't seem to see many of these on ebay, either. It wouldn't surprise me if it was early to mid 60s. Is the label indicative of a certain period?
On the official 5-tiered Compliments-From-Strangers Scale (1-never, 2-rarely, 3-sometimes, 4-frequently, 5-constantly) it has settled in solidly at a 4.5 rating.
