For consideration is a custom hat made by The Hat People of Oregon. The hat was commissioned by me this Spring, and received in late May. It was tried on once, and never actively worn. I thought if I let some time pass I might change my style thoughts on the hat, but its time this finds a new home and head to sit upon. The hat is super comfortable and you hardly know its there. It can be worn in a variety of styles as the body is cut full and can be pulled forward over the brim for a more traditional look or back for a more 'biker cap' style. The material is a Brown Tweed Donegal Wool with some great colors mixed throughout that would accent a variety of ensembles. The hat is essentially unstructured throughout and could be easily folded up and placed in a bag, pocket etc when not in use and then put back on when needed with little to no fuss. Thanks...would keep it, but it wasn't quite was I was after.

I looked at the numbers again and I might be off a tad it might be a 59.5-61cm range. That said its a super comfy easy wearing hat...adjustable too

7 3/8 US is a size 59cm. A 7 3/8 UK is a size 60cm. A size 61cm is a US size 7 5/8. That’s the normal conversion anyway.

This is a nice cap, and I'd consider it if the actual size was more clear. How is it adjustable?

I measured the circumference of my head to be a 23 3/4. So I suppose this would be a little closer to 7 5/8 though all my other hats are 7 3/8...either way its a comfy fitting hat. When I put it on, it almost doesn't feel its there.

The adjustment is via a piece of elastic on the inside.
The exact details are the following from 'The Hat People's Website'

Every hat features a 3/8" by 9" elastic, as an adjusting strap, sewn into the back of the hat. This does not mean that one-size-fits-all. Each Newsboy Cap is finished, as orders are received, to the size requested in the order. The elastic is used to fine tune the hat smaller, if necessary. This is done with the aid of a 00 brass safety pin holding a Z fold in the elastic. So the hat is made to the circumference you order, but can be adjusted smaller if the need arises (say the wind comes up). The elastic and the safety pin are hidden inside the hat band ~ accessible through a slot in the back. Hat People has been using this method of fine tuning the size of our hats for over 30 years ~ with great success.
