FL - I would imagine any contract will be comfortable. All of mine fit really well. Yes, the Dubow is a great one.

Whe-ew, talk about authenticity.

Today we are having some freaky cool change weather considering it's typically sub-tropical this time of year, and I pulled out my 6 month old GW Dubow from storage- any excuse. Man it pongs like a vintage jacket- exactly like some of my originals.

John obviously takes his craft very seriously.

It's had about 4-5 months of wear on it so far.

^Really nice Andrew, you gotta be happy.:)

A fellow lounger asked for some photos of mine, here they are. I couldn't ask for better! The color is pretty much what the photos show. It's almost a year old and it sees a decent amount of wear.

And I see your Donny and think the same thing! I think I'm going to have to sell a few fedora's to fund one in the next year.

Here's a few B&W pics for Goodwear fans to show how the horse hide develops more character as time goes on. It's a Dubow with about 4 months of weather and wear. If you want a jacket that always looks fairly new, I wouldn't recommend the spray finish, the outer pigment will wear off some and show the reddish undertone in the high crease and wear points. If you want a jacket that after a year or so depending on the amount of wear and weather exposure, that will look very vintage, it is definitely a winner.

Good Wear A-2 jackets...aaah, that inner flyboy...

Ye Gods, this much envy just can't be healthy. I collected A-2s, a B-3, G-1s, an AAF-cut G-2---all in museums or other peoples' collections now, save for one A-2 (stolen) and a commercially-made G-1 (bartered). I'd love to think I'll ever again have the scratch to afford a Good Wear A-2 (heavy, heavy sigh...) Still, that first A-2 caught my late wife's eye at a Mojave 1000 air race, where she was on the pit crew of a racing T-6. I'd say it was worth the investment

Fedoralover's pictures aren't there anymore, but I just figured
out that I had saved copies of them.

I did, in fact, order this jacket from Goodwear.
Unfortunately, John has only one example to work from,
and it is, if I recall correctly, a size 44 (vintage, so closer
to a size 42 today). I wear a modern size 48 or 50.
Because the jacket is so different from a type A-2 or a type A-1,
he was not able to size it up successfully. Jacket proportions
don't increase evenly through every part of the garment. There
is a bit of art, or at least a lot to know, about creating the same
garment in a range of sizes. John will need some time to work with
this one. For now I believe he is only offering it in sizes close to
his original. He can correct me if I'm wrong.

If you are a smaller size, I encourage you to get this great jacket.
I chose to get a type A-1 instead, which I hope to post this weekend.
