Can you give us your eBay handle so I can make you a favorite? Unless you already did and I missed it, but I didn't see it. -thanks :)

My handle is exjohnnyphi.

Creative, huh?

It's my first auction, so go easy on me!

GREAT Idea!

Hey, Johnny, how about this: We, and I mean most of the Lounge besides me, have been more than happy to share our knowledge and wisdom with you, that's the nature of this forum. And, needless to say we have been tantalized at every turn by your discovery. Why don't you share some of your bounty with us directly? Why not post some of your hats in the Classified section, at what you deem as reasonable prices, so that we won't have to go through the rigamorall of dealing with Ebay? There are many, MANY here that would be happy to pay market value. It just seems sort of fair and civil - quid pro quo, so to speak. How about it?

I would actually prefer to handle the hats by selling them to my new friends here in the FL, but I don't want to run afoul of the rules.

So... Do I need to seek a ruling from the moderators on how to proceed?

Or, should I just start posting hats in the classified section?

Johnny, I'm not a Bartender, but I'm pretty sure the only rule you have to watch out for is the one which prohibits posting links to live auctions on ebay by people who are not the seller. This rule exists to keep people from getting all in a tizzy about an auction and driving prices up. However, you are welcome to post links to your own live auctions in the classifieds, or to simply post pictures, descriptions, and asking prices for hats you want to sell.

In short: Just go ahead and start posting! Preferably starting with brown lids in 7 3/8!

By all means, PLEASE POST!!! I'd give my right arm to get 'hold of a truly vintage 7 5/8"! Well... maybe not an arm, but I'd sure be happy to purchase one with legal tender! Looking for anything OTHER than brown; my Akubra and AB have that nicely covered.

Regards, Andy

Hiya johnnyphi. Just checked out your auction, looks ok but could be jazed up a bit. The 2 photos front and back work well, but the interior shot needs to be in focus and whats stamped on the sweat could be shown. Good Luck

If you insist!

OK... OK... I'll post some hats! These Lee and Adam hats are clogging up my apartment anyway.

I'm sure y'all won't bombard me with a bunch of "special" requests for better pictures and/or payment options, right?

PayPal is the only form of payment I can accept, at the moment.

I'll give the email address to buyers.

Wow.

I have a similar dream, going into a warehouse full of 30s shoes, and I can have as many as I can carry... oh, this wasn't a dream? You lucky thing!
I'll be watching for a 7 5/8 for the man...

My guess is that you are about to acquire even more new friends! ;)

Thanks for starting them off here first, Johnny! :eusa_clap

I believe most of us would like to see them posted here first. I know I will be jumping in just as soon as I find one listed in 7 3/8. Can't wait.:eusa_clap
