Newbie looking for jacket $$

Hello all ..new to this forum....great reading by the way....in the market for my first nice jacket..looking to have a daily wear to use everywhere...new/used?.....this is what I am looking for:
Size: 42....true 42 and not too big in the chest...I am about between a 40-42 in chest...I am 5'11 180-185
Color: Brown...horse or steer
Not too crazy of V backs...more in line with upper half
Length: Just below belt line....lets say 25-27"
Sleeve: 25-27
I tried doing this on my own/..reading forums...reviews...critics..etc..
Willing to pay reasonable $$ knowing quality comes with a price...THANK YOU

Hello, and welcome to the Lounge! I suspect that the silence that you're getting to your search for a jacket is because it's too broad. Sort of like saying, "Looking for a vehicle." Gotta give folks an idea of where to start. Things you might want to consider is what style of jacket/coat? Civilian vs. motorcycle vs. carcoat vs. military/flight jacket? Ballpark amount that you want to spend? Horsehide, steerhide, goatskin vs. basic lambskin garment leather? Color? Standard collar or cafe-collar? Many options!

The folks on FL are very friendly and knowledgeable and are always willing to help, if you ask the right questions!

If you're not sure, go to some place like Aero, Vanson, Eastman or many of the other fine vendors and check out their products. Find a style you like and then direct your question to something specific, or just watch the classifieds and see what comes up. I've gotten great finds and some wonderful deals here, and made many new friends with similar interests. Good luck!

Thats what I did...went the custom route.....info was overwhelming regarding many factors when it comes to sizing...that being said.no longer looking for jacket...thank you all.
