Newb) Questions on Langlitz

Relatively Newbie here. Just a few questions on Langlitz.

1)Is leather used in Langlitz veg-tanned or chrome-tanned?
2)Does anyone know the tannery that source Langlitz?
3)How much is a standard stock Columbia? (without additional options)

I believe the leather used by Langlitz is chrome tanned, no idea where they get it from. The last time I checked a basic Columbia was right around $1000.00.
I agree with Jejupe that it is probably best to go to the source with these questions.

The regular cowhide is Chrome tanned in New York.
The colored leather is tanned in California.
The horsehide is from japan.

That must be the reason why it is an extra $1000 for the horse hide upgrade.

Definitely not worth it in my opinion. I think if it was a few hundred to upgrade I would have done it, but not for that kind of money.

My recent cascade was 1000 plus 100 for goat. I had no extra pockets or padding that is extra

Agreed. Langlitz uses great leather to begin with, and they recommend their goatskin above everything else for comfort and durability. I love my two medium weight cowhide jackets and I can’t see how spending another thousand dollars for horsehide would have made them any better.
