Well, we're celebrating Dad's birthday, tomorrow. After that, I was invited to have a few drinks at a friend's house and I may go up to the Ho-Chunk Casino. They're having some drawings and 3 bands, one Country-Western band, thank goodness.

I've been told by the man in charge of the charter that we'll be spending New Years Eve right here:

(*sigh* Wow, I really do look like a stereotypical "trolley jolly" when I write this, don't I? Oh well.)

I'm joining the annual Friends of Philadelphia Trolleys charter for my first year. We just wander the City of Brotherly Love for 4 hours in a chartered streetcar (now we pick a Christmas-decorated car, since they got rid of all the historic cars...) But it should be fun, lots of guys tell fun stories from past NYE charters. Best of all? The drunk drivers have to watch out for US, not the other way around!

Happy New Year everyone!

I am going to sadly watch the re-run of the ball drop in New York at midnight, have Martinelli, and go to sleep. lol

I've got less than two hours before that happens. :D

Allright kids, what did you actually do for NYE?

Me, had a couple of beers, played on the computer, didn't realize until 12:15 that it was 2012, then went to bed!!

Then me and the wife did have some "quality time!!";) :thumb::wink::whoo:

Similar evening, we watched some telly, played on the computer, watched the new year in and went to bed around 1.30 but sadly NO "quality time" :(

A lovely long lunch after which we headed home, cracked open some Champagne, channel surfed for a bit and brought in the New Year with Jools Holland's Hootenanny.....

I did end up going out with a new friend to the Big Band concert. Her husband couldn't go, so it was just the two of us. It was really nice and the band was excellent, but when the New Year rang in and we were surrounded by people kissing, that was a bit awkward lol
