New vintage pattern pants - highly recommended!

I ordered a few pairs of pants just recently from our very own member kschurch, owner of PIR Cargos. They arrived last week and I could not be more happy with them!!!

PIR cargo pants are top-quality cotton pants made from a WWII paratrooper pattern. Depending on what style you choose, they can look decidedly military or very plain chino-esque. All the styles are different.

I got four pairs; the "Overlord" in Tobacco Twill and Grey Herringbone, the "Ranger" in Tobacco Herringbone and the "Yarborough" in Tobacco reverse twill.

Pictured below you can see the superior craftsmanship in stiching and other details. Note the size adjustment tabs - these are very cool!

This is the cargo pocket available on some of the styles.

This is me wearing the Tobacco twill "Overlord".
I went for a bit of a paratrooper look with the boots and web belt. However, I think the Overlord is the least military of all the styles. Next time I want a military look I will go for the Yarborough.

Look at how wide the legs are!

They are pretty high waisted, as well.

Pardon the photos. These are right out of the box so a little creasing is ineveitable.

An awesome product. They will see a lot of wear - easily the best pants I own.

PIR is a very professional company and is a joy to do business with. kschurch is an amazing guy.

A few years ago, RalphLauren had some fatigues modelled on what looked like a postwar set of paratrooper trousers. They were interesting but some of the details were just a bit askew.
Right now I get paratrooper pants from AtTheFront. But Im curious to see this new source.

Church, old thing...

I'll be in touch as soon as I know how the money for April is panning out...

I'm a 34/36 UK waist, and a 46/48 chest, for my sins... the only chap I know who can usually cater for my needs is an ex-UK Judo champ who went into the tailoring business since he got sick of not finding suits that could accommodate a 14 to 16 inch different twixt jacket and trews (When he was at the top of his game he was nearly 18 [one eight] inches wider top than middle)

ATF isnt bad, but I have issues w/ their construction. Shallow front pockets. The color is far more olive than the khaki of their website pix.
And jsut look at how terribly close they put their rear pockets:

Not to mention the times I have seen friends split these trousers in one or two wearings.

The RL stuff wasnt bad at all but they went with metal buttons & a version of the cargo pocket that wasnt slanted. Which was a pity. But they had a great variety of colors.

Thanks for your interst in our cargo trousers!

Just for clarification...all of our trouser models are cut from the pattern of the M1943 uniform trouser. However, we made some minor adjustments such as taking up the seat a bit and adjusting the leg opening to make the pant a little more current. Our fabrics were woven just for our products. They are not stock fabrics. Although we have olive and khaki colors in our line up, we did not try to match them up to original uniform specifications. You will also notice below that the interiors are of high quality with features not from the original time period. These are very well-made, durable, tailorable, trousers in a variety of colors. I hope you will like them better than your RLPs.

Basically, we tried to make a really cool pair of cargos that have the cut and flavor of that military time period...but for modern day wear. I suppose one could wear our "Yarborough" design as part of a uniform but I don't advise it. (although our pocket is properly slanted)
I don't want to imply in any way that our trousers are designed for historic or reenactment use. Just great everyday pants.

We have had a greater than expected demand for our products and our current inventory is getting very low, however we will have new stock available around the last week of April. Please check our website at pircargos.com for updated photos and pricing.

I thought I should better necro an old thread instead of starting a new one.

I got a pair of Pir Cargos, the overlord model in tobacco herringbone. Shamefully I must admit that it was only just recently I got around to get them re-hemmed - and boy have I regretted not getting this done sooner! These trousers are, by a mile, the most comfortable, good looking and sturdy pair of trousers I have ever had. I decide to wear them for christmas eve as a part of a semi-formal attire - but I could just aswell see myself wearing them out hiking.

I also bought one of the t-shirts, they matches the trousers in quality and the classic style print is awesome.

The shipping to the EU is not cheap, but it is imho well worth it.

Church has been a pleasure to deal with - and extremely helpfull as to getting the size right.

This will definitly not be my last pair of Pir Cargos.

yea, and can anyone post a picture of the overlord model being worn ? Unfortunately, and please don't take this the wrong way kschurch but, I don't think the pictures on your website do your pants justice at all. I say this because I never cared much for them until I saw a pair on ebay some time ago (someone from this forum was the seller) and they looked great in his add pictures. They weren't my size or I would have gotten them.
