Wow! What an amazing story and truly amazing set of leathers. I’ve never seen a Buco, mens or women’s, with that Halfbelt style back! That is incredibly cool and the condition of both pieces is really remarkable!

As far as the fit goes, it’s really hard to tell from the pics but I believe M/C jackets and cross zip styles in particular, should be worn tight.
I’d love to see more pics. Such an amazing set of leathers and there provenance makes them even cooler!
My reluctant eleven year old model …this will be hers someday. It won’t fit her then so we have to take advantage now. She has no idea how cool she is in that jacket.

Many members here have a multitude of vintage jackets so hopefully they will answer. A common sense answer would be yes depending upon how tight they are.

I wonder how long it’s been sitting. And how dry it is. There are so many conditioners out there that might help, some more expensive than others and some are recommended for very dry jackets.
A safe and accessible product you can get anywhere and won’t leave your jacket greasy would be Lexol.
This coat was folded up in my grandmothers cedar chest since I was a small child. They ended up in my mothers garage after grandma died. My mom died about three years ago. I kept her house. I just recently thought to really look into them closer. I saw the start of a powdery mildew starting and knew they needed a little love. (It was just starting and luckily wiped off with zero damage .) Then, after seeing one with a four figure asking price, less than half the condition, I decided it’s time for these babies to come inside where they belong. I’m so glad they were tucked safely away for five plus decades or they would have never been safe from shenanigans that were my terrible life choices. Those choices taught me an appreciation I would have never felt in my teens or twenties, hell, my thirties were a little sketchy too.

What I meant to say was it was stiff but (and I don’t know if it was right)but I used my DR Martens Wonderbalm on it because it was all I had on hand. It made a very noticeable difference. I’m sure a specialized conditioner would make it feel even more buttery. It has no cracks or wear except very slight dryness on the elbow.
