New to these digs

Greetings and Salutations to all of you. I've been loitering on this site for about 2 years now and could no longer keep silent. I am an avid fan of fedoras and have been for about 3 decades now.

I enjoy converting old cowboy hats, 5X or better, into fedoras, preferably into the style of pre WWII with the high crowns and wide brims. My favorite.

However, I lurk heavily on eBay and Craigs List and have brought more than one stray to a good home. I'm currently awaiting a lid I won last night on eBay: A light gray JC Penney Marathon 3X in great condition. Still has the Wind Trolley and all of the trimmings. I will post it when I get it of course.

I hope I am welcome here in this nice family of style and class. I tell you what, I'll buy the first round and we'll all enjoy a nice cigar or pipe over our favorite Brandies, Bourbons and Scotches. Sound like a deal?
