I have been meaning to post some photos for a while now:

The postman brought a little somthing in size 44 for me about a week ago.

Real McCoy G-1, a copy of the Bauer 55J14 contract from the Korean War era.

Realy very nice goatskin, great grain, if I had picked it I would have taken a slightly darker shade for the collar.

The hem is the correct bi-weave and the zip is a blackened triple marked brass conmar.

Hmm, those did not embed so here is a link to the photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/74324106@N04/?uploaded=5&magic_cookie=5fef6670936c1606e09652b4e14103f2
All over great condition, very slight wear on the elbows, just enoughth to show a slight highlight.

And of course, the proper collar stencil!
Labelled size is a 44 but it is a little slimmer than this, probable nearer a 42-43. Fit wise on me it is fine on the shoulders and arm length and a great body length, but is just trending towards slightly tight when zipped up. My dilema is, should it stay or should it go, I could do with losing a few pounds but do I have the will power to do it or should I flip the jacket and buy one of the BK M-442's?

Looks similar to the vintage goatskin G-1 from The Cockpit (formerly Avirex) that I have. They use very nice goatskin with lots of graining and patina and some hand-rubbed wear areas for a truly vintage look without all the phoney distressing on other jackets.
Yours is a nice jacket! If your jacket is a bit snug when zipped, are you wearing a heavy shirt or sweater underneath or just a thin t-shirt? If it's just a t-shirt, you may want to get a larger size jacket. The G-1 is very forgiving size-wise because of the bi-swing back and underarm gussets; I personally would hate to feel like a stuffed sausage in my G-1! :D
