New-to-me Langlitz jacket

Right now there's a seller on eBay who has several Langlitz Columbia police jackets with cossack collars. I picked up the one that had the measurements that fit me best, and it arrived today.

I had plans to go for a ride after work, so when I got home and found the jacket had arrived, I threw it on over my t-shirt and headed out. First thing I noticed was that the fit was spot on. I'm glad I picked it up. I always have my doubts about the accuracy of sellers measurements, but in this case I got a great fitting jacket. Mine was made in 2001, according to the writing in the inside pocket. It looks to have been barely worn before I took ownership.

After dark it got down to 60F, and I found the jacket kept me warm at 75mph, even though I didn't have any layers underneath. I was very impressed with the thinsulate lining, it is a very warm jacket. The leather is also a bit thicker than my other Columbia, which I like, although my other Columbia is no slouch.

The only downside to the jacket is the police badge holder -- I forget what they're called. I'm not sure what to do with it. It's not a big issue, as I bought the jacket primarily for function, not looks. But I'd rather have a pocket in that location. It's not really a big deal, though.

If you're thinking about getting one, and haven't yet, do so.

I'll have to post some pictures tomorrow.

Ok it turns out that it's really hard to take a decent cell phone selfie that shows the jacket well. This is the best I can do wearing it until I can get some assistance.

Well, you tried, so thank you for that. Leather looks nice and judging from the sleeves, fairly thick for a Langlitz, which is a plus. It's hard to comment on the fit from these pictures but much more important than us seeing the fit, is that you are happy with it and with the jacket which I hope you are!

Great stuff. I had a look at the same guys stuff. I need one size bigger than he has. Great pick up.

About the leather thickness -- it's hard to assess because the non-removable thinsulate lining adds bulk through the body and sleeves, giving it a padded feeling -- but judging from how the collar and cuffs feel, it is a bit heavier weight than my other Columbia. I assume Langlitz must use a bit heavier stuff when doing police jackets, or maybe just this batch.
