New to FL: FFI reenactor looking for era hat sources …

FFI reenactor here. Researching maquis units just outside Paris c 1942 and interested to see if the fedora, beret (standard), beret (alpins-Chasseurs) or Adrian helmet were more standard wear during this early period. I’m thinking the helmet was a late occupation item when the Germans were in retreat and the environs within/out Paris were a cauldron of ambushes, roadblocks, etc.
