Models?

Maybe you can fly them up as "consultants" and write it off your taxes as a business expense. :) Of course, I know nothing about tax laws.

Only if they could stand in the window display for six weeks as models. Then they're a write off.:D

Six weeks, huh? Well sir, you drive a hard bargain. When can I start?

(Btw, great looking shop. I hope I can make it up there some time soon!)

Your store looks awesome. If only I could find a store like that here in town. I love all the colors and other decorations. I really love the Rat Pack poster in front of the Sands. I have that poster up in the den.

Marty,
Your displays are excellent.:eusa_clap Please open a store in the metro-Detroit area. I'd be by to buy. The placement of hats near the other items makes them seem natural elements of an outfit, not just accessories drawn from a corner of the store. The pop culture items worked into the displays help the buyer "feel" the effect of owning the wares. I'm no marketing expert, just doing "exegesis" of your photos, it's a word we use in theology for interpretation of the Bible, but the priniciples of it can be applied to any kind of analysis. Hope this is what you were looking for in responses.:)

Exegesis? Say that ten times.

Dean, I'm also not a marketing expert. But you nailed it (I think that you had help from the man upstairs). I did posstion the hats so that they blend in as part of the whole wardrobe. The "Pop Culture" items (Pinup Girls ;) ) are intended to bring a little levity and "in your face" Guy's store mentality. No plans on a Detroit store. I do need to get our web site done soon. Thanks for your comments Dean.

Hi Marty,

I missed this thread before but I'm glad I found it today. I've always loved your store display photos. I thought you'd taken a powder, I hadn't seen them in so long. Thanks for posting.

Golly, thanks.

Thanks for the great comments. Undertow, I'm just a little north of you. Stop up. Dutch McCoy, it's a great poster. We have people that come in just to look at that poster. Jake, it's been a while since I posted pic's. I hope to be posting the new window displays very soon. Sorry Stanley, I can't open in LA. No dog sledding. Warbird, I don't put up with the Feng-shui crap either. Classic clothing will always be in style.

Thanks again for the pictures. I look forward to the additional displays.

(PS I'm game for the window model position, but I just may walk out with a couple of new outfits ;) )

I might need a kick.

So, what is this I hear about a web site? When will this puppy be coming along? I would prefer to visit the brick and mortar store but so far, that is impossible.

I know, it can't happen soon enough. I've had a good amont of interest from fellow Loungers and our ad's in Classic Style Magazine. I'm a total control freak. So everybody (web designers) keep bailing on me. I think that I have the guy in place now. It should be a lot of fun when it's completed. I've got a lot of ideas from reading all of the great post's at the Fedora Lounge. There are some very talented and stylish writers that post here.
If you haven't seen a web site from me this fall Dutch, I invite you to come up to Minneapolis and give me a kick right in my brick and mortar arse.

Can you ship items out?

I would love to have some of the cufflinks on your first picture. Could you ship them out? The store looks AWESOME! I wish there was a place like that around here!
