How my 613H fits with a 23 1/8” back

- Overall the Look appears to scream "fashion" and not traditonal motorcycle jacket

I think AF sums it up. This is a fashion jacket. Most of what Schott makes nowadays are fashion jackets. This is not a motorcycle jacket. Your average long beard, tattooed, beer-drinking biker would not buy this.

The only MOTORCYCLE jackets Schott makes anymore are the 613/618/118 and the 141/641.

that is strange about that last shot. Your 27 sits a good inch above that Schott 26, and you're a couple inches shorter than the model. Maybe it's a posture thing? Pants sagging? IDK. That model is probably vegan and never seen a gym in his life, so I doubt he has the traps you do LOL

I've definitely tried on enough jackets to know the measurements don't tell the whole story, but back length should be a little more cut and dry. Or maybe not.

There is absolutely no way on earth that is a 26” length on someone 6’1”. Even a beanpole won’t have the jacket resting on his pants unless he’s wearing them over his belly button. To me that looks like a 28” back.

Not sure Schott even considers people like that as their market anymore.

Size 44 with a 30" P2P and a 12" drop from chest to hem, i miss the classic Schott fit...

When they opened their brick n mortar in Chicago it went into the most hipster neighborhood.

Surprised me when it closed. Mildblend sold out of the most expensive Schotts they carry in relatively short order. Store was always busy. I wasn't very pleased with the staff, who were entirely cluless and a bit rude. Vey much unlike the owner at Mildblend, who is a delightful fellow and the staff are very friendly.

There is a picture of this jacket on a guy who bought it in the styleforum thread. Needless to say, it's not a flattering fit for the guy as the jacket is nearly half as long as his entire body. I won't repost the picture here, but if you find it you'll know.

Edit: I should also add that proportionally, a cross zip, Perfecto style jacket should never be long as it completely throws off the proportions of the jacket itself. Elongating it does not make a flattering jacket. There's a different argument to be said for a center zip jacket, which looks fine in different lengths, but when you're talking about a crosszip, I don't think they look good past a max 25" back length, regardless if they fit you or not.

I completely agree that that going too long ruins a cross zip. Since the current style favors low rise jeans there are far too many examples of super long cross zips dropping to meet the Belt line.
I don’t agree that you can or should set a fixed number (25” in this case) for the max acceptable back length though. I am 6’1” with a long torso and 25” usually leaves me pulling at the bottom hem trying to get just a little more length over my belt. For me I think 26” to 26.5” is just about perfect.

Isn’t Schott 613 size42 25” long? Don’t know why l am 5’11” too 175lb. Even 25.5” looks short on me. Maybe l am older , people except older man where longer jacket. At least that’s what my wife says lol brown is 26.5” black racer is 26.25” more to my personal tast length

Mine was just short of 24"
