Hi new here and hoping I'm posting right. Wanted to get some opinions on couple of my hats. Been experimenting and seems 1 3/4 inch- 2.5 inch brim is about my sweet spot at least as far as I can tell in looking at myself. I like it.

Welcome!
They look good to me. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different brim widths and styles, but I agree that the hats in your photos look good on you.

Welcome to the Lounge. 1 3/4 to 2 1/2 is quite a range, but I agree that the hats in your photos suit you. In the end, its really all about what you feel good in.

Thanks for the positive comments. I think in regards to it being quite a range as mentioned; probably because when I started out getting into nicer hats and away from baseball hats like so many here have; I started with stingy brim 1.5 inch or so brims.
I started to be able to branch out into 2 and 2.5 inch brims from there which is where I think I feel more comfortable. I wasn't trying for the hipster look but I think sometimes the smaller brims give that perception.
Look forward to posting some of my other hats though mine tend to fall into the less expensive range usually under $100. That gives me some variety without just being locked into 1 or 2 more expensive hats.
Have to do what works for me.
Thanks all.

Stick around...Every year I spend here I add 1/8” to my preferred brim width! :)

Stick around, alot to see and much to learn. I would caution you though, the Lounge may prove to be detrimental to your bank account LOL

I have everything from 2” to 3”. Sometimes the proportions can make a less than ideal brim look great. I had one felt hat when I started here a few months ago, and now I have...many more than that. You can pick up some jewels for under $100 if you are patient.

Hello

And feel like i need to re introduce myself
My name is Che and I have too many hats & live in Nor Cal in East Contra Costa County about 52 Miles north east of San Francisco I have not bought any Hats for years as this place can enable you to hoard like i have.
Though I have worn hats most of my life.
Sadly all my posted pics are gone & once i figure how to efficiently post again on a iPhone now Ill be back in the Game.
Nice thread by the way
OH, I like a 2-3/8" Brim

It’s too bad that so many of the old photos are gone. Even though we can’t see your hats in the old posts, some of us feel like we know you after years of reading and re-reading old threads. I’m glad you’re back, and I’m looking forward to seeing your new photos too.

New to forum...I love this forum. Stumbled on it and glad I did:). Sexy Rexy is my brown Boston Terrier:) love working with heart pine and started making these hat hooks out of 100 year old heart pine!

Welcome to the Lounge Sexy ... uh ... Rexy. I'm glad going by our dog's names is not a requirement as "Izzah da Bizzah de Boom de Boom" is almost as long as @AbbaDatDeHat 's "handle" (...that might not be the right word).

Nice hat holders! Looking forward to seeing more hats and wood-work.

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that if you stick around (we hope you will) you’ll regret your choice of user name...ask me how I know :)

I really like the rustic hat holders.

Nice to see you circling back, Che. Now let’s see some of your colossally cool collection (and the smiling face of Che in the chi of that great backyard of yours) my friend!!
