I have one of Art's VS..Albert's. Great hatGreetings everyone here at Fedora Lounge!
Happy New Years for everyone,
I originally came to the Fedora Lounge a few years back following my discovery of this great lounge. Also, I had commissioned my 1st Custom Special One off Grand Beaver Homburg with Art of Vintage Silhouettes.
That turned out to be a really cool experience, learning about the artistry involved in making hats by hand, reading, doing research, etc.
This 1st Hat turned out fine. I think Art calls it "The Albert" at VS website. Great Man, he also did some nice adjustment for a long hair Beaver hat which improved this one well.
Stumbled across the BlackSheep hat works website yesterday and some really nice hats there.
OK, well hello to everyone

+1Welcome back!
Thank you everyone here at Fedora Lounge,
Thank you everyone here at Fedora Lounge,
What a nice welcome!
Haven't been one to be much interested in forums except for Vintage Synthesizers & Hi-Fi Audio ... But I can tell the Fedora Lounge is calling me strong!
I didn't expect all the replies and am grateful for those as well checked the personal account info with update alerts and more nice welcomes there.
Yes regarding Art at VS & The Albert. I think that began as a version of his "Lords" hat, which is also very nice.
It was the process though, conversation, my letters with little details where after one re-reading, I thought these requests and my descriptions were going to come off as 'weird' for lack a better word ....
But these wonderful and timeless hats seemed almost lost. Their history, the culture and Millinery craft. Fine Millinery and Milliniers will save the day.
Belfast boy, what a great thing to hear that you came upon an Albert hat as well!
Suppose this Dolphin will join the rest of you all and start flying thru the surf and check out all the posts and information.
Yeah, we'll treat you nice for the first 20 posts or so to suck you in. [emoji1]

Frunobulax,
That is much more than I could hope to ask for!
Remember some time back talking with a young guy fascinated by my teenage daughter - Respectful kid - where I asked him how was his day? He replied "I've been getting dogged all day long today Sir ..." My response was how did this happen?
He went on to explain some usual frustrations anybody could have on their plate, I offered up some encouragement and he then said "Yea, I been getting dogged all day long today, but at least I haven't been getting dogged with 'no love' ..."
I had no quick answer for that one! But I gathered this kid was able to distinguish the levels and qualities of 'getting dogged'!
