I absolutely love the 1940s, and as I was looking for articles about random 1940s-related topics, I found this place and new I had to join. I am 15 years old and live in Washington State, and I love '40s movies, music, clothing, hairstyles, etc... so much that I dress 1940s-style every day! When I grow up, I want everything in my house to be as it was in the 1940s, but as long as I'm stuck having computers around, I might as well use them for something cool like this (-:

Hello there!! I found this site while looking for info on a jacket that my BF has had for about thirty years. So happy to be here, We love everything vintage and spend a lot of time recycling and upcycling even things people have set to the curb. We also have a little vintage store in the town we live in.
So, the jacket he owns was talked about in another thread. I think it happens to be rare and another was sold at an auction in Japan. I look forward to reading and sharing with all of you. Thanks for being here.

Hello! I'm not exactly new, as I'd originally found this site back in the mid 2000's when I was stationed in California with the Marines. I used to be somewhat active and went out to the Cicada and the Queen Mary a couple of times. Had some good times cruising around in a 1937 Buick through LA and Longbeach! Anyway, after I got out and moved back east life got pretty busy there, but I'm older and more fiscally stable now so I'm looking to get back into things.
