New Ken Burns series this fall on PBS Prohibition

We like it.
It can't stop what it's meant to stop.
We like it.
It's left a trail of graft and slime,
It won't prohibit worth a dime,
It's filled our land with vice and crime.
Nevertheless, we're for it.

A well done and relevant documentary. Great music too.

They showed the 3 episodes over Sunday, Monday and Tuesday on Ch.50.1 open air in LA. This was really superb. I kept thinking about Mc Sorley's Ale House in NYC (The Old House At Home.) They always said they never closed and never stopped serving beer in spite of prohibition.
