The premium range does seem to be slimmer but the a design like the highway man will be slightly wider than a premium half belt.

The sheene is a similar fit to a cafe racer and slimmer than a standard bike jacket. The issue is neither Thurston nor aero provide any measurements so its all a bit vague.

As JJ said the premium range is as slim (possibly more so) than the others you mention. If it helps, Aero's sale page tells you what the actual measurements of most of these jacket really are.

Thanks Seb,

The thing is the width of the sleeves and waist aren't mentioned. That would really help to understand if it's a box, tube or v fit also if the sleeves would be too tight or loose.

For me it's in the shoulders. I have seen size 44's (which fit me) but some have 17.5 inch shoulders (Which don't fit).

Then we are more similar than I thought as I can just fit into shirt or jacket if the shoulder are
45cm wide (measured in a straight line). I'm a 48cm if measured acrossed the top of my shoulders.

OK. With the current “shelter in place” looming over the city, I had some time on my hands-- so here are the requested Sheene/Highwayman wear pics. It’s been nearly 2 years, and I probably don’t put as much wear time on the jacket as I should- but lately I’ve been wearing it while doing garden work (the English method of breaking in a jacket.)

My one regret with this jacket is that I requested "smooth" horsehide in the original order. I was thinking that I would break it in myself, and get that grainy patina the old fashion way... by earning it. The previous Sheene I also ordered smooth and it had the most beautiful grain to it. But this latest one was delivered really really smooth…with no grain at all. If I were to order again, I definitely would request grainy.

Consequently, I’ve put the jacket through the hot water treatment, or rather more of a cold water treatment, to speed up the wear and give it some character. I soak it, and then instead of putting it in a dryer, I let it dry gradually on a towel over days. I've found out the hard way that a dryer will shrink the jacket and suck out the natural tanning oils leaving the hide very dry.

It’s really hard to capture the areas of the brown coming thru the black- very subtle changes. But the brown is showing up and most visible in the cuffs, the collar, the upper back seams, and along the zipper seam (see pics.)

Still one of my best fitting jackets…and one of my all time favorites.

Looking very very nice there. Any way to capture the weight of this jacket? Seems like it's pretty hefty for Vic leather - nearly looks like FQHH if I did not know better. I like how it's gaining character & breaking in for you there!

After a long wait due to Covid I finally got my first real leather jacket that's worth the name :).
A huge "thank you" to @technovox to put together such a nice jacket. And of course to Holly from Aero - she had incredible patience with all my questions and changes!

First pics out of the box are - well, others could do better, just to get you an idea. Fit pics will follow.

It is Vicenza in black. I hesitated a long time (should I go with Vicenza blackened brown) but at the end I wanted a simple, classic black leather jacket. Hope it will be my only one for a long time (yeah, I know... ;)).

Because a couple of years ago offered a black soft italian horsehide, not the vicenza, see quote from email from Aero: "The Soft Black Italian Horse is Chrome tanned. It is much softer than the Vicenza and drapes more. Both this and the Vicenza break in very similarly even though the Soft Italian Horse is lighter in weight. We find it is one of the most suitable leathers for our ladies jackets.".
My girlfriend ended up with a ladies mc jacket on this hide and it is really great.

I'm really surprised you got Aero to make this one with the mods. Well done-- looks absolutely spectacular!! Hopefully we'll have more of this style.
Can't wait to see the fit pics. Enjoy!

What exactly surprise you? Actually Holly never said "we won't do that" so it was quite easy to get all this mods done. I just was unsure how it would look like at the end as I have never ordered such a jacket :)
At the moment I am just happy with the jacket as it is and am looking for every opportunity to wear it - my wife looked a bit worried yesterday when I had the jacket on inside our flat
