New guy checking in, with a question...

I got the bug.
All my life I gave little to no regard to what I put on my head. Cheap Walmart beanies in winter, ball caps in summer...or more often nothing at all.

Now I'm obsessed. I threw away the beanies and ball caps and wear either a flat cap or a trilby most of the time. I've learned a lot in a short time (about 3 months).

I'm going to end up getting a really nice old-school fedora when I know enough to make the investment properly.

For now, I'd really like to know if anyone knows where I can get a straw fedora like the one Denzel wore in Inside Man. That's about the coolest straw I've ever seen!

Any advice about a proper non-straw fedora is appreciated too!

I look forward to making some friends on this board!

Not really sure what you are seeking... where to buy, what to buy etc etc... one could spend an etire month here at FL learning answers... Suggest you begin in the HATS forums, choose a subject and go from there...

There are various kinds of straw and felts. I read a lot, and looked at a lot of pictures, when I first got here (and still do).
