Hey Kodiak,

I saw one yesterday as well, and wasn't impressed. I bought this model about 5 years ago and the leather was way heavier, yet still soft and comortable. Unfortunately Eddie is bending to economics, and his quality is suffering. I'd keep looking.

Much heavier duty jacket, with the side slash pockets in a 1930's period style. Or the Trail Rider which is a great 40's inspired motorcycle jacket. If you give them a call, tell them that Paddy from The Lounge sent you and they'll do you a wee deal.
This will far outlast the other jacket you looked at, and probably your own hide as well, as these were built to hand down from generation to generation!

Paddy is absolutley right on the Aero jackets. They are in a whole different league. Last spring I ordered a custom half belt from Aero (added a bi-swing back, inside pocket, etc.), and there is no comparison. I absolutley love the FQHH, and it grows more character every day. The Aero is at least twice the money, but 5 times the jacket. My old EB is a excellent jacket, and I have no complaints about it at all, but the current offering is a mere shadow of what they used to be. I know money is always a consideration, and I debated ordering the Aero, having never seen one in person, and being a pretty hefty price tag, for over a year. I'm glad I took the plunge, and wouldn't hesitate for a second to order from them again. Sorry for the ramble, I'm just really disappointed with the leathers from EB over the last couple of years.

Another Aero fan

I've worn my Aero halfbelt for two winters now, and can't recommend Aero highly enough. Great vintage look with great quality. A lot of dough but worth it.

I really like the Aero leather design (and quality, and all that other great stuff) but man... those jackets would seriously break the meager bank account of a high school sophomore such as I.

If I can get my parents to buy the EB jacket for me that is probably what I will go with, but maybe Wested could do a special order for me...
