Found this jacket on ebay, it is nicely build. Made in USA. However, it is fits like a mid to large...cant wear it, I think I will just treat it as a collect...

I have a number of jackets from this series (great for what they are...love em), I'm a broad shouldered 46" chest & find the XL works for me (generally). The XXL drowns me or gives a 'Michelin Man' fit. Exceptions I've found are the L2A / L2B which is snug & the blue MA1 which for some reason Alpha made smaller in the shoulders dept...green MA1 fits perfectly as do the B-15s including the blue version. This series really kick-started my nylon collecting...the ones to watch out for are the USA 'Replica' series which are superior in quality and do appear fairly regularly in the UK. See pic for B-15D Alpha Replica (wool interlining)

Well, the size of Alpha jackets difference from one model to another I think. You have to get measurements of every single jacket to make sure it fits you. This blue MA1 has a wide shoulder, I am 17" in shoulder, but this one still fits larger, and for chest, I think it can fits a 40" chest without any problem.

I would like a blue MA1 'Vintage' Series in XL (nice & light interlining for milder weather), like you say it's worth getting the measurements for each jacket & hope the vendor measures where you think they should. The 'blues' seem to have either 20" or 21" shoulders in XL (funny the variation in the same model & size), narrowly missed out on what sounded like a 21" the other day on ebay due to being quite 'mean' with my bidding.

I think the size small has a shoulder width 18-19 inch, I dont have the ruler with me at the moments, so cant measure it. But I have a 17" shoulder and when I tried it on , I think it is about 1-2" larger in the shoulder. I will post the picture later.

I am 5“5. It is this is too short for you.

Bugger. I'm 20cm taller than you. Looking at your pic I don't think there's any way I could pull this jacket off. But I'm sure there are plenty here who could and would like to. If you're putting it in the classifieds I'd guess the weekend is the best time

Consider yourself lucky to have found this jacket, esp new with tags. That should allow you to sell it on easily. I'd like one of these, but I need a Large, which is too common a size.

You're quite right zhz, should sell really easily in that condition (tags & all). I hope you get a good price if you decide to sell....it's a nice jacket.
