New Cable Raincoat A-2 pattern

Here's some pics of a Cable pattern test jacket I finished last week. It's made out of veg-tanned goatskin with a cotton lining and a Conmar zip with a Crown puller. John Chapman at Goodwear was a tremendous help as always with the patterning and specifics. So far I have made jackets in the Doniger, and Aero, and Cable patterns- it's amazing to me how different each design is - if it wasn't for the same elements you would never know these are supposed to be the same jackets.
The fit is roomier in the body and shoulders than the Doniger, but not as fitted and with a little less reach (Doniger sleeves are inset and rotated slightly forward while the Cable sleeves are not.) Both the Doniger and Cable have been added to my stable of available patterns that can be ordered- and will be added to the website too, at some point...

Cheers
Mark

Mark, another beauty- congrats!! Ever think about a m/c styled d pocket (eg a modified version of your newer aviator pattern)? I'll be your "test" pilot-

Beautiful. Your jackets have a very masculine look about them. Very nice.

I have thought that would be a great jacket. Mainly, just add snaps for the collar and snaps to hold the top part of the jacket open, Buco style, if that makes sense? And, of course in a nice rich brown!

Nice jacket! Are you planning to produce the Aero A-2 jacket with rust/red knits? I believe I saw your test sample here on the Lounge in another link...
