New Bonnie and Clyde movie

Has anyone read the book referenced in the article?
It sounds interesting.

The book is very good, it gives reasonable biographical information on the two outlaws and some of the family history, as well as background on the law enforcement officials trying to track them down. It would be nice to see a non overly romanticized film, but maybe that's too much to ask for Hollywood.

While it's good to see Thora Birch coming back in something I'd want to watch (what happened to her after Ghostworld? Poor thing had to watch Scarlett rocket to stardom, deservedly so, but still...), I'm trying to picture HILARY DUFF carry a role like Bonnie. If she can, all the power to her!

My thoughts also, Hillary would not have been my choice, but what do I know? I just hope it's a decent portrayal of their escapades, not something cheesy.

I enjoyed the book, as well, though I really hope filmmakers can give a better picture of their lives than the past version. :p

You mean shiny, sparkling Twilight-ish Depression era lovers are not something folks would want to see???

OK I can't even keep a straight face when I ask that.

I'm picturing something along the lines of the movie Lonely Hearts with John Travolta and Selma Hyack. But who knows, they could go gritty and really knock one out of the park?

I'm hoping for the best.

I remember when they cast Valerie Bertinelli as Pancho Barnes in the made for TV movie. Talk about opposites. Chuck Yeager said the they could not decide if Pancho was the ugliest women in the world, or just one of the ugliest! Also, she could cuss better than any man alive. Still, at least they made a movie about one of the greatest women to ever live! So maybe this movie wont be the worst.

Behind the 8 ball,..
Hopefully we'll get a story that's closer to the real story.
And,..hoping against hope,...the movie will inspire a renewed interest in vintage style clothing just as the famous Warren Beatty version did.
But, it's like expecting lightning to strike twice in the same place maybe?

Looking at photos of Bonnie and Clyde, they were certainly not bad-looking folks. Bonnie had a cutesy look to her, and apparently Clyde was quite the dandy. The way they travelled and lived on the run, however did not contribute to cleanliness and tidiness. As a matter of fact, that was one of Bonnie's major issues with the constant "camping out", was not being able to stay somewhat clean.

I started reading the book. If the filmmakers stick to the source material this could be very good.
