Refurbished waterfall

Nice work! I had a really bad one that I had to reveneer- harder than I expected. Luckily I had veneer that was pretreated with contact cement.
Word of advice- avoid chemical stripping, reveneering, etc at all costs....

WOOHOO! Restore-A-Finish is the miracle product! I love that stuff! Just open the windows first, not like me... hehehehe!

Your set is to die for and I can't wait to come see it all in person! Loves!

Very nice set! I've been wanting a waterfall front set and post has made me renew my search with added vigor.

I'm off after work to look at a complete 1930s waterfall front bedroom set that I found on Craigs List for $100. That's right - a complete set for $100. The seller said the first person to give her $100 can have it. I need everyone to send me good vibes so that I make it before someone else does!!!! The set is about a half hour away in an area I'm not familiar with, so I'm nervous about finding the house. Everyone, cross your fingers for me and send me some FL mojo!

I'm worried about the dresser though - it's missing a handle. Do you think it is worth trying to find a new handle? The owner suggested taking a handle off of the vanity and then putting new similar handles on the vanity.
Also, she said that the dresser tops and around the handles are scratched up. I think the scratches can be fixed with a product like the Restore A Finish that Lauren posted. Do you folks think it is worth a try?

YES...the restore a finish takes out minor scratching where years of nails have opened handles.....

and indeed..you can move handles around from pieces that will be seen less....

Mine is missing a pink shell backing on a wardrobe handle..and I am just switching out with one on the nightstand...which due to where that is...will never be -seen- as its behind the bed....

Let us know how it goes

Good, I was starting to have doubts but your post changed my mind! I think for the price of $100, it's well worth it. I'll be hard-pressed to find another complete set for that price.

The headboard, footboard & bedframe are for a full-sized bed. Has anyone ever had any luck converting full-sized headboards/footboards to a queen size? Can anything be done for this?
