Hi all,

So I just snagged a size 40 pre-made Hooch Hauler (russet Vicenza horse hide) for a bit of a discount on Aero Leather's website. It was apparently one of the jackets the made as a test run for the model. It fits pretty perfectly, though I have a 42-inch chest.

Measurements: pit to pit 22.5, sleeve 25.25, back length 25.25, back 18.75

This is my first proper leather jacket, so I feel like I lucked out on the fit.

By the way, I've very much enjoyed reading everyone else's posts on here about Aero Leather and the various challenges of customization. They helped me figure out my perfect jacket and then I found it already for sale!

Sorry for the sloppy camera work.

All the best!

Looks great! Wasn't that into that jacket when I first saw it on Aero's site, but the more and more I looked at it, it really grew on me. Well done. We'll need more pics though

Thanks for everyone's encouragement.

In case any of you are interested in how I ended up deciding on size, after reading all the horror stories about people taking their measurements and ending up with a custom-made jacket that was a bit too big, I decided to measure a few of my jackets that fit well and then order a premade Aero jacket that fit those measurements as closely as possible. Because I live in Europe, shipping isn't bad. So I planned to treat that jacket as a fitter to hone the measurements I wanted for a custom build. But then I saw that the precise jacket I wanted (Hooch Hauler, Vicenza HH, russet) was available in measurements that were pretty close to what I had. So I ordered it and found that it fit great.

Great looking jacket and fit.

Agree we can over think things on sizing sometimes, I've got three Aeros, two made to measure and one which was a bargain buy from eBay - typically the eBay jacket fits the best!

Brief update. I'm loving the jacket and wearing it non-stop. Fit is perfect and it's breaking in well. Here's a shot of me out with my little man, playing the part of a cool dad.

Thanks again for all the encouragement.

Also, the addiction is real. I'm currently working on specs for a coat that can fit over a blazer without making me look like a dope. Suggestions welcome.
