New acquisition - my first Aero custom order

Today the DHL guy dropped a nice, big box off at my front door today & I am in love....

A couple of months ago I decided to forgo looking around the Aero & TFL sales pages & waiting for something used but nice to appear. I did what I should have done from the beginning and bit the bullet and ordered exactly what I wanted.

I reached out to Holly at Aero & right from the start, she has been amazing. First rate customer service, extremely understanding and very helpful at each step in the process.

From the outset, what I was after is best summed up as; "Classic, understated & timeless".
To my eye, the Aero Sheene fit the bill perfectly, so the journey began.

I really wanted a very simple jacket, so the following is what I finally selected;
  • Aero Sheene
  • Dark Brown FQHH
  • No zips on outer pockets
  • No action back / shoulder gussets
  • No external kidney panel
  • One outer horizontal chest pocket (left breast)
  • One inner chest pocket, on opposite side (right breast), with zip up closure
  • Olive contrast stitching
  • Minto Check Lochcarron Tartan lining
  • Antique Brass zippers
  • Diamond pull for chest pocket

The result is exactly as I had hoped. The FQHH is amazing, the depth of the colour is wonderful.
Yes it is stiff, but nothing at all like most people on this forum would have you believe. I would re-order this hide in a heartbeat.

It is a substantial jacket weighing in at 2,185 grams.

A massive thanks goes out particularly to Technovox, pawnieguy & ProtienNerd for your assistance with questions that I had.

Here's some pics for you (keep in mind that this is the first wearing & it is quite stiff);

Congrats. Like you say, classic, understated and timeless. Looks great on you. I just love opening the box, smelling the FQHH and trying on the jacket for the first time.

Just wow. Perfect in every way. Also, great choice of a motorcycle. ;)

What's the back length on the Sheene?

Fit couldn't possibly be better, and the shade of brown is really nice. You and Aero really have a winner here. The first couple of outdoor shots do a great job showing the depth of color on the CXL.

Nice one Dan,
Is Aero now doing repro M39 deco talons standard for main zips, or did you order that special?
It's a nice touch.

I thought I'd responded to this thread early this morning but apparently failed to engage the submit button on my IPhone. Great pics and fit, as others have said. There is everything to love about the Aero Sheen.

Great fit and great jacket. I have to admit, I'm a bit jealous that you nailed the fit the first time. It took me three tries before I got it exactly right! Nicely done.
