Oh you mean the people on the beach who jsut make stinkface whenever a real character does something?
There are those two new characters that they introduced in the fall that are just awful! Every line they had last night made me cringe.
This show is really in critical condition. I'm sad that one of the best shows ever is so quickly going down the tubes. From what I've read, the producers are aware of the problems, so hopefully it will return to it's original glory asap.

Those would be the ones! I love how they never interact with anyone and then when a main character returns from certain death, they're BFF and all huggy and kissy.

Yes, the couple that went down into the hatch with Locke and Co. Hopefully they've just been introduced so they can die an interesting (and plot-forwarding) death?

I like Hurley so didn't mind last night's episode -- although it didn't move the story along nary a bit (that was probably a double negative but you get my point).

And wasn't it already implied last year(?) that the teenage girl was the crazy Frenchwoman's daughter? Why the big "reveal" in the last scene?

I'm glad you all feel this way. I thought I was missing out on something. This show is getting kind of stale. I'm not liking it as much as in past seasons. Now that they have a car (van) are they going to drive around the island in it? How long before they run out of gas?

Still, funniest line in the show was:

While touching the religious statue, "I have needs" lol I laughed for a good five minutes.

Yes, to show how much this episode had NO effect on the plot, the cliffhanger was something ANYBODY who watches LOST already knew. It's not bad to have a self-contained episode, which I guess this was an attempt at, but not at such a crucial point in this show's existance.

Lost is losing me.

I have some questions that maybe I'm just to obtuse to figure out for myself.

1) Re: Sawyer. If somebody stole everything from you and everyone else at - more or less - gunpoint and then takes off, are you really going to be all that happy to see him come back?

2) A truck full of documents about the island and the others to look over or flat beer and a joyride to the ever annoying strains of Three Dog Night?

3) Can't a vehicle be jump started if it's moving? Like just moving? Does it have to be careening down a mountainside toward jagged rocks?

That was two bad episodes in a row. I liked the first part of the season very much indeed, but the second part is coming up lame. This episode was really bad. Littlest Hobo bad.

One of the most frustrating aspects of the whole series is that no one asks anyone anything, or seems as curious as they should be as to what the heck is going on. Like the kid (Carl) that Sawyer and Kate had with them last week.
Wouldn't ANYBODY else have asked him a trillion questions??

Yeah, that whole episode with Carl, Kate and Sawyer was a mess. The writers are focusing more on the relationships between the characters instead of moving the plot ahead. I'm TIRED of this supposed Sawyer, Kate, Jack triangle! I really don't care who Kate picks... now that Ana Lucia is dead, Kate's back on top of my most annoying list.

Character relationships are okay if they don't morph into a giant monster and take over the show. The Libby deal with Hurley was fine because it tied back to the numbers and the looney bin (well, it's fine if the writers actually tie it back to the plot, anyway.)

The last episode was just an hour of man-bonding, some witty Sawyerisms, and Kate explaining to us that Alex is Rousseau's daughter. Which we knew. Oy.

I guess that map of the island that Sawyer found in the van couldn't possibly be of use to anyone :eusa_doh:

Ask me that in 2009, when it finally gets answered.

But seriously, do you like how Jack got all mad and was like, "Go away, don't tell me what you're doing here, I don't want to know!"

BTW, going back a few eps...what was up w/ Jack in the cage & the kids & the Australian stewardess show up all happy to gawk at him.
One fansite theory is that they actually were all there to watch Juliette's trial.
Man, miss the old LOST. The one that I couldn't wait to talk about on Thursday mornings with my co-workers.

Hurly is the worst. He is the worst character on the show, possibly the worst character on television and he is definitely the worst television actor since this guy:

I'm busy and I don't really have time to be watching these shows, so they have to be worth it. I nearly stopped watching Heroes after one dud episode (And I am soooo tired of the "humorous" nerdy shuffling and comedy Japanese accent of Hiro - the joke's not funny any more, if it ever was), but it came back with a couple of really strong ones. I've been watching LOST longer so I'm less inclined to bail, but one more episode as goofy and sentimental as the last two (when did they decide to give every episode a Disney ending?) and I'm out.

And I was wondering where Bernard and Rose went too.

Ha! Okay, you're right about the kid from Married With Children. I can't even remember his name, so that's a good indicator of how annoying/hard up for work he is now ;)

But I'm a Hiro lover! I can't help it! I hate cheesy things, too, but as long as they keep them to a minimum and keep the plot moving along (which they've been doing well, on Heroes) I'm still in. And I have too much time investing in Lost to stop watching, I'd feel like a quitter. So everything gets DVR'd.

HOORAY! Finally, an episode that kept me interested the whole way through! I thought it was really good. Kinda felt like season 1 all over again, and that's a good thing! LOST is back!

Have any russian speaking fans translated what the two others were talking about?
Why has Locke become so stupid?

BTW, Hiro is the only one I really like on Heroes. Well maybe Claire.

"BudBundy" sure s disappeared, but ChristinaApplegate is a hoot.

Yeah. Sayid got his smarts back, so maybe there's hope for Locke. Maybe LOST people can only be smart for their flashback episodes.

I just dont enjoy seeing Sayiid get shot, then later winning a struggle. Just seems like anyone shot in the arm should be physically out of it for the rest of the afternoon...
I could see, say if Locke got shot & so was off in the other room playing chess & then maybe you could mitigate his bad judgement.
Or even a little girlpower. Wounded Sayiid gets knocked out quick, But Kate subdues the bad guy.
