need help--Jimmy Stewart hat

I read that James Stewart was a bit superstitious, so he wore the same hat in most of his movies for years and years for good luck. When it started falling apart, he would just glue it together and keep using it.

Ah, I see. He wore it for sentimental reasons, not superstitious ones. I had read that he did it for good luck in a Readers Digest book called 'Strange Stories, Amazing Facts".
