Mine got a fine soaking in a half-mile walk in a cold downpour this week. Emerged unscathed. In fact, it's a little better. Gave me a chance to fiddle with brim shape a bit.
It got wet enough to change felt and ribbon uniformly dark for better than 24 hours, and for the water to roll off the brim in sheets. Why men don't wear brimmed hats is beyond me. In a heavy rain, I stayed warm and quite dry (trench coat). Even my glasses didn't get a drop on them.

Just one more good reason to wear a hat. And as somebody said, "When a man has a good hat, he doesn't have to have sense enough to come in out of the rain!" :) :eusa_clap
