Mnn. Nicknames never really stuck with me. In relationships, well.... not much experience there, alas. A couple that fizzled out within two months, one longer term one wherein i didn't pick any real name that stuck. The lady involved there wasn't much of a romantic, in retrospect (nor was she much of a lady, but that's a whole nother story. ;) ).

I'd hope if I ever did have one it would be something more personal than rotm terms of endearment - even it was prima facie slightly insulting. lol

I like the one from Seinfeld: "Schmoopie."

unfortunately we were kidding around about that and it's kinda stuck! Prior to this I mined old Pepe Le Pew cartoons for my amorous advances (Franglais malapropisms)

My wife's name is Jennifer, and when we first started dating instead of calling her Jen or Jenny, I thought of her name in terms of Jen-ny-fer and ended up using the last syllable, 'Fur' as a nickname, which she loved. Over the years that nickname has expanded to include Fur, The Fur, Furby and even, on occasions, Furball. Even our friends affectionately call Jenny 'The Fur' and one of our closest friends calls her 'Furby'.

She often signs her name on cards 'Jen-e-fur'!

That's funny! My wife (also a Jennifer) was called Jell-weed in high school...draw your own conclusions....

I used to call my boyfriend Pumpkin, but he pointed out that I call everyone pumpkin.
So now I call him Mungo.
That's what you get for complaining...:D

I call my son Smokey, as he had a run-in with the authorities for lighting small piles of leaves on fire... Scary part is that every man I told the story to told me that ALL boys set stuff on fire.
Great.
Scarier still is that I had to explain the "Smokey the Bear" reference to him.

I call the offspring:
bratz
kiddos
sweeties
freaks
lol, all affectionately, of course and they know it!

I call my sister "sissy" and actually the offspring have started to refer to each other that way.

I call one of my good friends and crush "hunies" or "huniez", thats usually in a text, if I did that in person, there are usually other people we work with around and they would think I was nuts and that there was something else going on. Bad enough that some people already think that there is. Aaawwww, the joys of rumurs. lol

Between my siblings, we've managed to come up with some pretty random names for one another.
I call my sisters Pinchy and Badpants.
They call me Lollipop.
My brother calls them Stumpy and The Mo.
He calls me Mogadishu, shortened to Diiishu, and
I'll occasionally call him Brother-diishu in response, otherwise us girls call him Zuthulu or Zu.
Our dad is known as Nelson (or The Admiral).
Mum is simply known as The Mother, or Mummy-Love when directly adressed.
My friends get labelled with jellybean, sweetpea, treasure, dearest, honeybunch... depending on the mood.

May-Belle
Little Munk (don't know why but my dads childhood name was Munk *shaking head in shame*)
Love
Dawn
Madison

My mom's nickname is Joe because my grandpa really wanted her to be a boy lol

My family doesn't have a whole lot of different names, but we use the fun ones so much that the official ones are almost neglected. :D

Mother: used to be Mommy, now usually Mumsie or Mums (from The Great Race lol)
Sometimes Mumsie-Pooh or Mommy Moo-Moo; Mummers

Father: Just Dad or Daddy; Captain Dad in the third person when he's on the warpath or we're being really bad

Bro. No. 1: Great One (think Ten Commandments)

Bro. No. 2: T-Bone, T-Man (his name starts with T); Sonner (that's my mom's name for him)

Bro. No. 3: Bob, Bone, Bubbles (this one has almost replaced his real name)

Me: Pumpkin Doodle, P.D. for short (this is Dad's); James (when Mums finds it easier to use all guy names); Gingerbread, Gingersnap; Dr. Schneider (by a certain family friend); Dollface (Bro. No. 3, mainly)

I call my sister "blondie", "Cheerleader" but, most often Blondie(she is your average sterotypical blond cherleader.) KilroyCD call's me "red" occasionally. I call my husband , well can't think of a name I call him.[huh] I guess I am not that into cutesy names like that.

I call my fella - Robotlove. But not usually to his face. I usually call him Mister sometimes Hon (when I need something). Occasionally - Mon Petit Chou Chou. I was never very good with names so I nicknamed everyone in my youth that I had crushes on. Bandana Man, Robert Downey Jr Guy, Smiley Man, Manly, Dairy Man...see the theme there?

My pup is affectionately called Peefernuts, Mr. Peefs, Peanut, Peefee la Peu.

My name is Jennifer as well - I got called "ifer" for tha longest time. I hated being called Jen for a while and always added the "ifer" to the conversation. My own doing.

Well I don't normally use english terms for my danish/swedish friends or if there is a significant other : søde, sveske, skat/skatter and the likes but Honeybunny has been used on several occasions. Lots of friends have called me Bambi for years.

I call my boyfriend "congee" (it's a Chinese soup). That stemmed to some very silly things: congolia, congolese, congoleezza rice, conjo, etc. Also just plain old "China".

Some people get the impression that we're being racist, but it's all in good fun. He makes fun of my whiteness all the time

I also have nicknames for my pets:

cat Boo - huphup, big man, huff n puff (he has asthma)
cat Princie - little baby, pretty honey
dog Bella - crazy girl, belly smelly, peanut

I call my kids Kiddo (girl), bud (boy), and cam, camerino, or camIam (girl).

I wanted to name my youngest daughter Alexandra Kathleen (so we could call her Alex or Alley Kat) but was overruled.

My kids call me Dad, Sunny Jim, or Mr. Happy Pants.

My older sister has always called me Little Brother so I call her Big Sister.

We all called my grandfather Packy. Then my younger sister came along and called him DaDoo.

Sweetie, Honey, Cutie, Stinky, and Darlin' tend to get used a lot in our family as well.
