Have just acquired this N-2A Jacket with funds from my recent nylon spring clean out (eBay). A very honest N-2A this one, shell is an even Blue (mild UV fade under hood ruff), hood and fur are in great condition & all the zippers in good order. Knits have sustained moth attack and will need some darning, one front button is missing (replacement on its way from MASH) & shell could do with a light clean (damp cloth). I won't see much wear out of this jacket until the Autumn / Winter over here but it's a nice one for the collection; Can sit alongside my Masland N3A & Buzz L-2A.

Nice jacket CBI, I had a hankering for one of these for quite a while & then got distracted by an N-3A., got there in the end though...one more off the wish list.

great jackets, congrats!
I have a Knopf among my 4 N-2A jackets. As I prev said they are more rare hence desirable. However for me they are not that imposing as the sage green ones(N-2B).

About the cleaning, I did a 30 deg cleaning (front load machine, color laundry detergent, delicate cycle) for 2 of them(were dirty). They have no fur or natural skin so they went out pretty good. Only thing I noticed was a slight change in texture of the nylon (got bit tighter) perceptible only when touching it. Also the hood liner got slightly more rigid(but this is very little, barely perceptible).

Speaking of Buzz nylon repros, I don't know what to say. I got a B-15 C from few years ago and the materials consistency is not on par with originals (thinner nylon and knits).

Lovely! I want an N2A and N2B for my collection. Great jackets. Saw an unissued N2A a year or two ago on ebay. Seemed too pricey at the time, but regret it now!

Most People Destroy these with Regular Machine Washing, By the time I get my hands on them they are usually pretty Worn out. Truth be told these are by far my Favourite *LIVE IN* Jackets, I mean Literally all winter long they Keep on giving!!! and they stand up to the worst abuse I could give and more. Just outstanding!

I have both Like the above pics, an Alpha and Oldschool 70s one with the Fur all shrunk down.

however found a 70s era once in the thrift for cheap and it was Truly NOS condition because of its small size, the Ex wound up with it, and she knows what she can do with it too.

Great Jacket you got there, Truly!!! I envy you! :eusa_clap

Heres my Thriftstore Bought Alpha from last Winter! (you cant beat 14.99 CDN for a jacket this well cut!)

but....BUT!!! no one Makes the Squadron hats to go with them unfortunately...they have been lost in Translation somehow and fell out of style.

I am the only guy around trying to give them a fighting comeback!

The N2b & N3b style parkas have been big on the general fashion scene this winter with just about everybody wearing one of some sort but have no clue about the style of jacket a bit similar to MA-1 bomber jacket phase over the past year or so.....let's hope it phases out after this winter so I can get back to wearing my flight jackets without looking like the rest of the herd .

I've been rocking my '72 N-2B complete with wolf ruff & wool insulation in the recent cold snap. Worlds apart from the Topshop versions that youth are wearing currently. Looks like we can reclaim the MA-1 soon too & the L-2Bs. :)
