My two new Lost Worlds jackets

I recently acquired two gorgeous Lost Worlds jackets, a 16 year old Suburban through eBay and a basically new Easy Ryder through this forum. I was actually contacted by a fellow Lounger after I replied to an old sales thread for an Easy Ryder, that was of course long sold. He said he was planning on selling his, but wanted to reach out to see if I was interested before listing it for everyone to see. What a truly class move, and yet another sign of how awesome this community is.

The Suburban I acquired by the help of @ton312, thanks again bud. This is one killer jacket, as you well know since you got to handle it before proxying that bad boy to the Netherlands.

The last and only Lost Worlds I had previously owned was a standcollar A-2, which was much too big at that time (but would fit perfectly now, go figure...). Still kinda regret letting that one go, but oh well. C'est la vie.

Now, for the photographic evidence, as I finally got two excellent photographers who came and helped me snap pics today.

Both are a size 42. The Easy Ryder fits best IMO, but the Suburban is a stellar casual jacket. I saw pics of what this jacket looked like brand new, and holy cripes what a world of difference. Simply crazy, you would not believe it is the same exact jacket. Lost Worlds jackets are almost a pain to look at when brand new, but god diggity damn do they develop into something gorgeous over time.

They are both super cool, nicely done.
I have a used Suburban coming my way, super excited about it too.

Do you still have that dual tone Aero J106 you had years ago? That was also a really nice jacket.

Nice! Man that sub was on a slow boat! Glad it arrived safely. Absolutely beautiful hide in that jacket. Too bad Stu dumped cowhide. Far more interesting than his HH. Particularly in brown.

Great looking jackets man!
I’ve been wanting a Suburban myself for a little while now and your photos only make me want one even more.

It was great fun admiring each other's jackets. First time I handled a LW. You guys already know of course but I was very impressed by their construction quality. Built like a tank.

The amount of cash stocked up on those chairs in that first shot... oof :')

I had fun being a photographer as well, especially taking the shots of Zheng trying to help Marc adjust the La Brea. You can just tell we're a couple of goofballs having the time of our lives.

@Carlos840 how many folks came to the London meet-up? Has there ever been an international meet-up? Perhaps a group visit to the Aero factory or something would be really cool. Could make an entire Scotland trip out of that affair, while we're at it.

We did two meetups in London, people came from all over, UK, France, Finland, Germany, Spain, it was nice to meet people for real.
I think we where around 10 or 15 people both times.
Went around London to all the vintage/leather jacket stores then went for a drink and a chat in a pub, it was nice.

We could do one of these somehwere in the Netherlands, there are quite a few of you guys there and it is pretty easy to get to.

The first few photos show a jacket that is 16 years old?
Correct! It was purchased brand new in 2006, and according to the original owner it was worn quite a lot in all weather conditions. The color was much brighter at first, and the jacket had almost no character at all. Just goes to show that Lost Worlds jackets are no joke when it comes to breaking in.

Thank you. LW has the best leather for my taste. If LW could sew from a dark brown HH, then I would have spent a lot of extra money.

I have owned maybe 3 LW Cowhide jackets and they all "SQUEAKED" like mad. It really irritated me as the russet color was beautiful and grainy patina but gawd the sound. I have to add that one was a Buco Rider with the cigarette pocket on the D-Pocket and was absolutely gorgeous. Damn I hated letting that one go but too loud for me.

Yeah, my suburban took two years of constant wear to show some character.

The later leathers tend ti show character quicker

That's interesting! Mendel's jacket is quite as a mouse!
